In partnership with the Nesbitt Memorial Library, CHPT will host the annual History Forum on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The forum will be held in the Buddy Rau Room of the Stafford Opera House starting at 6:00 p.m. This year’s topic is Photography of Columbus: Past and Present and will feature the newly released Seasons of Colorado County photo book published by CHPT and the soon to be released Live Oaks and Dead Folks: Tales and Images from the Nesbitt Memorial Library Cemetery Tour published by the Nesbitt Memorial Library.

Jerry Herring will speak with guests about the photos that were chosen for publication in Seasons of Colorado County and Tracey Wegenhoft from the Nesbitt Memorial Library Foundation will speak about the photos included in Live Oaks and Dead Folks: Tales and Images from the Nesbitt Memorial Library Cemetery Tour.

Prior to the presentation, CHPT will announce the winner of the 2024 Laura Ann Rau Preservation Award. Nominations for the 2024 LAR Preservation Award are currently open and the community is invited to submit applications for consideration. The application can be found here.
