Calling all theater and musical buffs…this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Join CHPT on Friday, February 7 for the first Lecture Series of 2020. Debra Dickinson, Professor of Opera Studies at Rice University, will present a fascinating talk on Broadway musicals, including favorites such as Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music. Her presentation will be filled with fun facts, unknown history, and interesting insight on producing a show under the bright lights of Broadway.
Adult admission is $20 and child/student admission is $10. Tickets may be purchased online through Wednesday, February 5 or in the Chamber office (425 Spring St.) during regular business hours.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. Wine, coffee, and desserts will be served.

Don your most sparkly tiara and join CHPT for Princess Brunch! Guests will enjoy a delicious mimosa brunch and watch Roman Holiday, one of the most beloved romantic comedies of all time. With Rome as a stunning Rome backdrop, Princess Ann longs to escape her monotonous life and live a little. She secretly slips away and later meets her very own “Prince Charming” in Joe Bradley, a newspaper reporter who doesn’t realize she’s royalty. Roman Holiday is full of laughter and charm and Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck are masterful in portraying the two lovebirds.
