FOR ALL CURRENT CHPT MEMBERSHIP
At the May 1, 2024, regular business meeting, the CHPT Board of Directors voted to present to the Membership the recommended by-law changes brought forward by the By-Laws Committee. In order to go into effect, these proposed changes must be approved by the Membership and only with an in-person, 2/3 majority vote. A copy of the by-laws with the proposed changes can be viewed via the link below and specifics areas of change are highlighted and struck through and have immediate change recommendations following.
Most proposed changes are self-explanatory and revolve around three items; changing the organizational year to run January to December, reducing the amount of board members from nine to seven, and providing a better description of board member expectations and job duties of officers.
A Special Meeting of the Members of Columbus Historical Preservation Trust, Inc. will be held at least five (5) days from today, as provided in Article IX of the Bylaws of the organization. The meeting date, time and location are set out below, and an agenda of the meeting is included as well.
