The Magnolia Belles are ambassadors of goodwill for CHPT and the City of Columbus. The first Magnolia Belles were presented in 1964 and are an important part of the Magnolia Days Festival. They add a touch of Southern grace and antebellum nostalgia to the festival and historic properties on tour.
We invite young ladies in grades 9-12 who attend Columbus High School or live within the Columbus ISD boundaries and are enrolled in a recognized educational program to attend Belle Orientation. Participants will learn the history of the program and the requirements to be a Magnolia Belle. If weather permits, we will tour the CHPT properties
Belle Orientation will be held on Saturday, June 8 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Buddy Rau Room of the Stafford Opera House. All young ladies in high school, including incoming freshmen for the ’19-’20 school year, interested in being a Belle their senior year are invited to attend. Parents are welcome. Be a part of an important part of Columbus’ history!
For questions, call 979-732-5135 or 713-444-9059.
